Let's talk about the weather! Tired of snow and long, frigid winters?  Average low/cold temps in Dec, Jan and Feb are 30, 27 and 30 degrees respectively.  Average high temps for these months are 47, 44 and 49.  We average 5-6 snow days per year, an average snow is usually 1-2 inches, snows at night or early morning and usually gone by noon!  Sell your snow blower before you get here, won't need it, no one will buy it from you here!   Average high's in the summer, June, July and Aug 

81, 84 and 84 respectively.  You see we don't get that cold in the winter or that hot in the summer!  See chart below

Taxes and insurance are very affordable here!  As I stated above property taxes on a $200,000 home are right around $700.00 for the year.  Insurance is also very affordable because this is a safe place to live.  

Fairfield is a very pet friendly area with a very socially active dog park.  There are hiking trails in and around the community where you can take your dog hiking with you.  There's even a club you can do it with!  You'll find many people out walking their dogs down the street.  Sorry farm animals not allowed. 

Worried about making friends in a new area?  Currently there are approximately 60 social and civic clubs.  If you have a hobby, there's probably a club here for it!  There are plenty of social events to get out and meet your neighbors and new friends.  During the summer, Sunday nights there's a fish fry at the marina, Monday there's a free outdoor concert, every Wednesday there's a farmers market right on property.  There's 3 outdoor art and craft shows, Memorial day weekend, 4th of July and Labor day weekends. 

Activities, activities, activities!  5 golf courses with approx 60 golf leagues, for men and women, some play year round.  

Indoor and outdoor tennis & pickle ball courts with leagues, instruction and tournaments. 

4 swimming pools, 2 indoor, 2 outdoor. 11 lakes, 2 marinas, 2 beaches with crystal clear lake water. 

hiking trails, horse riding stables, community center, indoor gym, basketball courts.  An indoor workout facility with indoor walking track.

So here is my challenge to you.  If you are tired of long, cold winters, way too much snow, hot summers, traffic, crime,

high taxes, high insurance premiums and are thinking "there must be a better place to live."  There is, truth be told, it's not the only place.  It's just one really good place to live whether you work from home or are retired.  

Come down and spend 1 day here, 2 is better but if you only have 1 day I'll show you around.  Don't take my word for it.  Spend time talking with the people that live here.  Ask them how long they have been here and if they like living here?
